The task at hand was to increase awareness and visits to Oklahoma’s 34 state parks. Since we all know kids love parks we decided to craft a message to speak to them and let them speak to their parents. The Parks Passport program partners with local schools and gives children a sticker for their passport for each visit to a state park. After six visits, they receive a token. It is a fun way to encourage in-state tourism and outdoor family time, and if the initial response is any indication, this program is knocking it out of the park.
